We are a caring, nurturing, Montessori Preschool set in the heart of leafy Winchmore Hill.
"The children's sole aim is to develop themselves and develop their own personalities; children are allowed to be self-confident without failing. They challenge themselves".
Sara Giwa-McNeil, Directress of Montessori Preschool on the Green
At Montessori on the Green we really value the individuality of all children and we are committed to giving everyone the opportunity to flourish and develop to the best of his or her potential. We aim to provide a carefully prepared program of education and social interaction, in a happy, relaxed and caring environment. With us your child can grow and learn through a positive, creative and progressive experience. Above all we want your child to feel happy safe and secure.
Montessori Preschool Key Values are to:
- provide a secure and happy environment for children within which they can fulfil their developmental potential and become independent.
- provide a stimulating environment, 'The Children's House' for children. Young children learn best through sensorial touch. We encourage the Children to experience the materials for themselves, exploring, discovering and challenging themselves to solve problems and to try different things.
- encourage children to work individually, in pairs and in groups.
- develop a positive self-image and respect for others, further developing and extending the children's knowledge about themselves and the world around them.
Our most important feature is our wonderful team of dedicated, highly qualified teachers, who love children and work hard to ensure that each child feels, happy and confident and at ease in their environment.
We encourage and work through a specifically ordered range of carefully designed cycles of activity with each child at their own pace, using beautifully made equipment. Parents delight in their child's progress, vocabulary, and confidence.
Although this website aims to be a comprehensive guide to Montessori on the Green we welcome and encourage direct contact with the parents so that we can get to know you and your child and cater for each individual need.
